Azerbaijani President to the Minister of Oil: all fields are open for cooperation with Syria, particularly energy, oil and gas

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev Reviewed Sufian Allaw Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources today Meetings of the First Session of the Joint Syrian Azerbaijani economic cooperation and scientific, artistic and cultural, which began its work in Baku and draft agreements to be signed through it.

President Aliyev stressed that the historic visit by President Bashar Assad to Azerbaijan last year and discussions which took place during and put a new structure of relations between the two countries developed rapidly in all areas.

President Aliyev said that the two countries to work to take advantage of the circumstances and the economic potential of the big two, pointing out that all areas are open for cooperation with Syria, particularly the economic, agricultural, energy, oil and gas and that his country supports the mutual investment between the two countries and attached great importance to this.

For his part, Minister Allaw stressed the importance of the meetings of the Committee in monitoring implementation of agreements signed during the visit of President Assad to Azerbaijan, which included political, trade, customs, finance, industry, media, education, higher education and other areas noting the importance of cooperation in oil and gas.

Meeting was attended by Minister of Agriculture, Azerbaijan and the delegation accompanying the Minister of Petroleum and the Azerbaijani ambassador in Damascus.
