the British “Golf Sands,” starts digging new oil wells in the field of Khorepett north-eastern Syria
British Petroleum Company Golf Sands said, it has completed drilling the well No. 14 in the field of Khorepett in the region 26 in the north-eastern Syria, pointing out that it had begun digging a new oil well in the framework plan for the current year, which includes drilling 4 new wells.
The company said in a statement published on its website, it “has been the experience of well No. 14 where he was pumping 613 barrels of oil during the period of 7 hours.”
With regard to well No. 13, the company said in a statement that it “produced from this well of about 310 barrels of oil per day under normal flow with small amounts of water,” adding that “production will be enhanced in this well later this year by permanent installation of equipment, industrial lifting. ”
The company completed drilling the well No. 13 in the field Khorepett end of last year, in addition to 3 other wells in the same year.
With regard to the oil wells which the company seek to be dug, the statement said, “The company began on Friday, the first well drilled in 2010 and which will be called (time) and it will continue drilling the 45 days,” noting that “the company’s plan also includes drilling 3 other wells during the year. ”
It indicated in its statement that “proven reserves of oil in the field Khorepett in the region 26 in the north-east Syria, ranging from 32 to 35 million barrels.”
It is noteworthy that Gulf Sands had begun production of oil official dug wells in the region 26 north-eastern Syria, as of last September at a rate of 11150 barrels per day and is expected to increase production to 17 thousand barrels with a possibility to drill more wells in the field Khorepett explore and drill it.
