Government agrees to replace General Establishment of Geology and Mineral Resources, instead of General Company for marbles and asphalt

Syrian Cabinet approved Tuesday a bill law on the restructuring of some organizations and companies of the mineral resources sector. the bill provides that General Establishment of Geology and Mineral Resources to replace General Company for marbles and asphalt with all their rights and obligations.

The bill also provides for the transfer of all their employees in the Directorate of salt mines and al-Qriatain Sander in the General Company for Phosphate and Mines to the General Establishment of Geology and Mineral Resources to organize the work in this sector in order to increase production and productivity and reduce administrative and financial burdens.

 
The General Company for marbles and asphalt brought about by a decree / 460 / dated 26/12/2004, incorporating the two marble and asphalt together, and defined its functions and to study and invest in mining and manufacturing and sale of marble and semi-marble and ornamental stones, plaster and volcanic tuff, isolation and Asphalt.
