At last…Egyptian Gas Starts to Flow in Syria

Eng. Sufian Alao Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said the Egyptian gas line has started to flow into Syria through the Arab Gas Pipeline to Deir Ali Station, south of Damascus.

Minister Alao told Syria-oil in a statement that the Egyptian gas had already arrived in the Station on Tuesday evening in limited quantities, but they would increase gradually over the few coming days according to an agreement with the Egyptian side

Syria had already agreed with Egypt to import the gas through the Arab Gas Pipeline in preferential prices where it will be used in the Syrian gas network and for running Deir Ali Electric Power Station
