British Golf Sands completed drilling oil wells in the north-eastern Syria

British Golf Sands oil Company announced that it completed the drilling in the well No. 7 in the Khorepett field within the 26region in the north-eastern Syria.
The company said the well had been dug at a depth of 2060 meters, and work in the well was put on hold for further evaluation.

 

The company added that it had used the program of 3D seismic in an area of about 640 square kilometers in area 26 in order to identify other opportunities available to the presence of oil in the region.

 
seismic surveys is a survey used to map the echo of the layers of rock, with a depth of surveys up to 4 miles (6.5 km).

 
The company noted that it may complete the seismic surveys within the next five months, with final data will be ready in the third quarter of this year.

 
The British Gulf Sands oil production officially from wells drilled in the region by 26 northeast of Syria, as of last September and the rate of 11,150 barrels per day is expected to rise to 20 million barrels, with a possibility of drilling more wells in the field explore Khorepett which exploits it.

 
The Gulf Sands Company signed early last year an agreement with Cham Holding company for investments in oil and energy fields in Syria, Iraq and in the framework of the plan include extensive exploration in large areas within Syria as well as exploration in the Syrian regional waters, which looks forward to the Gulf Sands also plan work in Syria.
