Six new oil blocks exposed to 42 companies for investment
The Ministry of Petroleum has exposed six new oil blocks to 42 international companies in the East, Center, North and West Sudan.
The ministry affirmed that these blocks, including blocks 8, 10, 12B, 15 and 18, oil-rich areas.
The Minister of Petroleum, Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz, said at the beginning of the International Promotion Forum on the said blocks which the ministry held Sunday at Al-Salam Rotana Hotel, that the said blocks which are spreading at various sites in the country are free from all barriers and available for the investors.
He said that the authorities have found strong evidence of oil.
He explained that the ministry had no preconditions or vision about any company, but will rely only on the technical capabilities of companies. He explained that the ministry prepared a highly-equipped information chamber in this regard, pledging to provide all information about Sudan economy for the investors.
He announced thyat up to now 42 international companies have responded to Sudan call for investment in the oil field and others on their way to respond.
He stressed that there are wide opportunities for investment in the oil-related services.
