Extinguish a fire in transporting oil pipeline in Deir Ez Zor in an open site under maintenance

An official sources of Oil Ministry said that at / 23.30 / yesterday  night a fire broke out in the oil pipeline linking al-Omar field and Taym station subsidiaries of al-Furat Petroleum Company AFPC in the province of Deir Ez Zor in an open site under maintenance

.

The source said that flammable dry grass near the pipe leading to the spread of fire over a wide area and was brought under control and extinguished.

The source pointed to the continued and non-stop production, where the conversion of oil to other of alternative lines and started scrutinizing the causes of the fire, which is likely to be caused by the burning of herbs near the site or the presence of smuggling of the line via the mechanical temporary link on the open section under maintenance.
