Second Conference for Investment in Oil & Gas sector

Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Ibrahim Haddad, Minister of Oil & Mineral Resources, the two-day second Conference for Investment in Oil & Gas sector has been opened on 7 November 2005.

This conference aims at promoting the investment in oil & gas sectors in Syria. Companies of oil and gas production, gas and fuel distribution, financing and investment banks operating in the oil & gas sector from 14 countries, participated to the event.

Mr. Campbell Keir, General Manager of Shell Syria Petroleum Development presented an overview on Shell’s experience in Syria since 1950, which was welcomed with great interest by all participants as he detailed the performances and mutual cooperation between Shell and Syrian partners
