Mahroukat : Gasoline demand has increased about 14% this year … and the company imported 480 thousand tons since the beginning of the year

Mahroukat company indicated that the demand for lead-free petrol has increased during the current year largely where the percentage increase in some months to / 14 / percent, prompting the company to increase the quantities imported of this article to cover domestic consumption.
Eng. Abdullah Khattab General Manager of the company said today that the reason for the high demand for gasoline was a result of increasing the number of cars of the year / 2007 / year / 2010 / by / 40 / percent in addition to the growing tourist movement, thereby increasing the movement mechanisms and coincided with the occurrence of a malfunction in the gasoline production unit at the Banias refinery during the month of August.
Khattab added that the company imported fuel since the beginning of the year so far / 480 / thousand tons of benzene excellent lead-free while the quantity / 210 / thousand tons for the same period last year.
