Iraqi delegation to Damascus next week to discuss the implementation of two pipelines for oil transfer
Category: Oil Ministry Decisions & Declarations | Posted on: 21-09-2010Dr. Hassan Zeinab assistant oil minister said the Iraqi delegation will visit Damascus next week to discuss the procedures of the minutes of the meeting signed between the ministries of oil from Syria and Iraq in order to extend lines to transport Iraqi crude oil through Syrian territory to the Mediterranean.
Zainab added in a statement that it had been put in the broad lines of the previous agreement in accordance with the “POT.”
Zainab explained that the agreement is very important for Syria and Iraq, pointing to the large economic returns and composition of the balance of oil reserves as well as being a major gateway for the export of Iraqi oil to international markets.
