Crude oil prices drop under $75

The price for a barrel of crude oil dropped under $75 per barrel Monday on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

 

 

 

Crude oil fell to $75.81 as the euro fell to $1.2214 from Friday’s $1.2094.

Stocks in Asia and Europe rose Monday, but the global upturn slipped on Wall Street with a late afternoon slide that pulled the Dow Jones industrial average down 20.18 points, off 0.2 percent.

Heating oil prices for July delivery lost 0.0119 cents to $2.014 per gallon. Reformulated gasoline shed 0.0124 cents to $2.064 per gallon. Natural gas prices added 0.052 cents to $5.058 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the national average price for unleaded regular gasoline fell to $2.698 per gallon Monday from Sunday’s $2.701, AAA said.
