Moaza Najib Salloum Governor Hasakah reviewed with Dr. Pu Haing General Manager of Kawkab Company and Chinese CNPC oil operating company in Syria the mechanism of the company and production quantities of oil and plans for the future expansion of the company.

Al- Hasakah governor pointed to the need to the company to take care to environmental in search and extraction, oil and expressed willingness to maintain the necessary support for the success of the company’s operations.

Haing said that company had started its work in Shaddadi in 2004 and was able to increase their production of 6100 barrels per day to 16 thousand barrels pointing out that the studies and seismic surveys conducted showed repositioning oil reserves well in the extraction and the surrounding areas which allows the expansion of exploration and the opening of new fields .

Chinese CNPC share with GPC by Kawkab Company where company produces about 14 thousand barrels per day and plans to increase production to 16 thousand barrels per day in the coming years by carrying out surveys in new areas. The Partnership was established years 2004 to increase the yield of oil and gas in the region Kbeba in the province of Hasaka.

company is currently debating with with the Syrian government for the construction of a refinery with production capacity of 100 thousand barrels per day in Deir al-Zour is expected to cost the refinery more than two billion dollars,
