15th September is the deadline to Shut down the international tenders for eight exploration land blocks for oil and gas in Syria
Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, in partnership with General Petroleum Corporation dated the fifteenth of September as the deadline to shut down the international tenders for oil exploration, development and production of eight blocks located in different parts in the north and south-east Syria, an area roughly about 73 thousand km 2. Which was announced on 31/3/2010.
According to the GPC that the content of announcement aimed at the conclusion of a production-sharing for all the operations of prospecting and exploration for oil and development and production in the region, described the book of the conditions of technical and pursuant to the provisions, obligations and conditions contained in the draft contract attached to the book of the conditions prescribed for this purpose. The Exhibitor may bid separately for one block or more.

The announcement set the date of closure as follows :
- 1/6/2010 to provide the required documents are not eligible for rehabilitation.
- 15/9 /2010 to provide all qualified companies offers commercial, technical and financial.

The deadline was extended to announce an international tender for the development of seven oil fields to 20/6/2010 instead of 19/5/2010, to provide eligible for this announcement offers commercial, technical and financial.
Oil Ministry and GPC announced the extension of the international tender for the development of seven areas of oil fields in the province Araqa where the date of 18 March 2010 end date for the receipt of envelopes. And the date of 20 / June 2010 as the date of the end of the public sale.
