Two new discoveries of oil in the Algerian Sahara

Algerian Sonatrach oil company announced Sunday two new discoveries of oil in the Illizi basin in the south-eastern Sahara.

Sonatrach said in a statement that it had made the discovery after drilling two wells in the perimeter Tinrhert in the Illizi basin.

 
Since the beginning of the year, Sonatrach has recorded five new hydrocarbon discoveries on its own, it said.
