SPC expands its investments abroad in alliances with Shell and Total

Syrian Petroleum company Plans to expand its operations outside the country as part of a broader strategy aimed at new investment opportunities and raising the qualifications of the staff of Syria.

 

 


Ali Abbas, director General of SPC said that the company has a strategic outlook for investment opportunities outside Syria in alliances with companies such as France’s Total, Shell UK after he underlined that Syria does not have the opportunities for large oil compare with others, especially Iraq, it should not stay locked on investment of the Interior.

 
According to Abbas that our capabilities are modest compared to the hydrocarbon producing countries of oil and gas is what makes the world’s major companies moving towards offers the most economic and the safety of knowing that the agreements signed by these companies with Iraq in 2009 are the chances of their historical are motivated to focus their efforts and investments in the Iraqi fields, especially as the huge reserves and conditions of commercial contracts is very easy.

 
Working for the Syrian oil to maintain the stability of oil production in the Syrian fields using advanced techniques in investment that will lead to excess inventory and to maintain stable production in parallel with the intensification of exploration within the areas given to Syrian oil in areas accessible to international companies in addition to the promising investment opportunities in the sea and the beach Syrian, especially with the presence of carbon-bus structures.

 
Abbas revealed: we Can enter as partners with Total in the work to develop Iraq’s fields as the Corporation has a qualified staff capable of providing technical assistance as well as near Syria from Iraq, which is a fundamental base for the start of work in addition to the possibility of activating the work of the joint venture with Shell and expand its activities outside the country .
