Syrian oil and mineral resources seeks to keep on the oil production as most as possible with hopes of gradual increase by widen Explorations and developing works in current productive fields using latest techniques.

Eng. Sufian Allaw Minister of oil and mineral resources said that the ministry intends to produce 132687815 barrel a day of heavy and light oil and condensates during 2010 through SPC and foreign companies operating in Syria with average of with 389 thousands bpd .

 
He added that Syrian Company for oil transport will ship 18646 thousand metric tons /133830767/ barrel of crude oil and 9451 thousand metric tons of oil divertive during this year .

The minister stressed that Refineries planned to refine 3528 thousand tons of light crude oil and 2352 thousand tons of heavy crude oil with total of 5880 thousand tons of crude oil in Banias Refinery company and pland to treat 863 thousand tons of developed fuel , Nefta and Distillate of Homs refinery and sell 4829 thousand tons of various divertive in local market and exporting 1340 thousand tons of Nefta and Distillate.

Allaw indicated that Homs refinery planed to refine 2068 thousand tons of light crude oil and 3102 thousand heavy crude oil with total of 5170 thousand tons of crude oil and producing of 60 thousand tons of mineral oil .. adding that the ministry planned to sell 4695 thousand tons of different divertive in local market.
