Economic study of GPC… Transport is priority of gas use in Syria
Eng. Ali Abbas, director general of GPC said that economic and engineering study to prioritize the use of gas in all sectors and ministries (industry – electricity – the local administration and transportation ) showed that the best economic use of gas is in the transport, stressing that the study was based on economic feasibility and other factors related security, public safety, road and gas emissions and the technical status of equipment and machinery and installations.
The study demonstrated that the best economic feasibility of gas is in the all kinds of transport, whether they are diesel or gasoline and electricity sector came in second place for the turbine circuit of the vehicle and the third priority is to use the gas in the industrial cities, , homes and the fourth priority is to generate electricity from the turbines circuit simple and the fifth is in the turbines circuit business.
Abbas added that the use of gas in the fertilizer industry instead of naphtha will have a major impact in reducing the cost of the product and this in turn reflected in the price decline, which leads to lower prices to the farmers.
the purpose of the study, said Abbas We will discuss with ministries and stakeholders that may be used in the gas sector’s operation, which follows it and we will be clear in terms of availability and terms of economic, environmental revenues and equipment and machinery to be making the necessary decisions for the terms of the distribution of gas available to the relevant authorities in accordance with priorities and the feasibility and technical considerations and environmental, economic and time to be appropriate to take collectively.
