Eng. Sufian Allaw Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources said that the Ministry plans aim to increase production through expanding its exploration activities to cover the whole of Syrian Territories and regional Water in addition to developing fields and Refinery industry.

Allaw stressed in the opening ceremony of the Russian Syrian Oil and Gas Companies operating in Syria Conference that the cooperation between the two countries in this area started from early sixties till now through the Russian companies work with GPC and SPC by establishing two gas treating plants and implementing the Arab Gas Pipeline in Syria as well as the exploration in some sites that were offered by the ministry for investment.

 
He indicated to the importance of Syria strategic geographic site and the stability that encourage the investors to inter Syrian Markets especially in Oil and Gas industry called on Russian companies to invest in Syria.

Murad Keryaieev International Russian businessmen Box Chief indicated to the experiences of the Russian Gas and Oil Companies operating in Syria especially in the area of oil services ,digging, pipelines, wells fixing ,etc.

Then the Russian companies gave presentation about their activities in gas and oil areas followed by exchanging views between experts.

The conference was attended also by Hasan Zainab Oil Ministry assistant, eng. Ali Abbas GM GPC, Eng. Omer al-Hamad GM SPC and chairmen of Operating Companies’ Board.
