Ottri discussed with Total Middle East Manager ways of cooperation

Premier Eng. Mohammed Naji Ottri discussed with Ladislas Paszkiewicz President Middle East Total E&P cooperation horizons between Total and Syrian Oil and Gas Companies in Exploration and Producing areas and developing some fields , training programs and experience exchange.
The two sides view during the meeting the work reality of Total in Syria and its work plan in 2010 with all new projects that will start in Syria.
TOTAL E&P SYRIE, a subsidiary of the French Group TOTAL, started its operations in 1988 in the Deir Ez Zor permit after signing a Production Sharing Agreement in December 1988.

Production started in the early 1990s through the Operating Company Deir Ez Zor Petroleum Company (DEZPC). Total has invested around 1200 million USD in Syria for exploration and production activities and discovered 350 million barrels of oil equivalent. Present production level is around 30,000 bopd, with an accumulated production exceeding 250 million barrels in the 4th quarter 2007
