Venezuelan President Hugo Chaves called to accelerate implementing of joint Oil Refinery Project between Syria ,Venezuela, Iran and al-Bukhari Group in the frame of economic cooperation between the two countries.

Chaves gave during his visit to Syria some notices on the slow of oil refinery work calling on accelerating its implementing to treat and refining Syrian oil production.

Syria, Iran, Venezuela and al-Bukhari Group signed in March 2008 a partnership agreement for establishing a crude oil refinery in al-Fruqles area east of Homs with total power of 140 thousand barrel a day by estimated cost of 2.6 billion dollars.
