Chinese company Sinopec announced this evening Wednesday, the establishment and unveiling the company Sipc Syria to replace the limited Canadian Dublin company as a partner to the General Petroleum Company in Awda and Tishreen oil companies.

The announcement came during a ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel in Damascus during which delivery of the first payment of the donation provided by Chinese Sinopec company to maintain Hassake to develop and update the local community and infrastructure in the province with estimated total value of $ 5 million.

 
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Eng. Sufian Allaw said at the ceremony: “The company will develop the fields Awda and Tishreen in order to improve the quality of crude oil in line with international standards, pointing out the importance of management Sipc Syria company and all actions necessary to improve the performance of the company’s operating and to avoid pre-existing gaps to develop the company on track and to accelerate the training of national staff to replace the foreign staff. ”

 
He believed that the establishment of the company is “a step in the way of continued cooperation between Syria and China,” noting that “Syria seeks to develop the process of investment of oil through the use of modern techniques in the world with the help of friends and partners from international companies.”

 
It was announced that “near to explore new areas and the development of older fields in addition to freely explore the blocks on the Syrian coast, calling companies competent and qualified to participate in the progress of such declarations and cooperate with the fruit of our work together which will benefit all parties.”

 
The Chairman of Chinese Sinopec Zhang Iaotsang has expressed “the desire of his company in the adoption of Syria as an important partner for investment and cooperation long,” he “stuck his company’s strategy, which requires the implementation of mutually beneficial and fruitful cooperation with its partners.”

 
Chairman of the Sipc Syria Company Yao Yuichi said that “company’s commitment to its responsibilities and the use of large positive potentials to the parent company Sinopec and expand their investments to make its leading role in the development of large oil fields in Syria.”
