General establishment of Homs Refinery refined during the 1st half of this year more than 2.802.000 tons of Syrian crude oil in both heavy and light sorts of planned 2.675.000 tons with implementing average by 105 % .

Eng. Akram Sultan General establishment of Homs Refinery Director said that previous period of this year the production was about 18.600 ton of planned 29.800 ton with implementing average by 62 % adding that was due to decreasing of Mahroukat Company receive of mineral oil productions.

He added that maintenance workshops in the Refinery are continuing its periodical and exceptional work by national workers.

 
General establishment of Homs Refinery was established on 1959 as the first refinery in Syria to meet the local markets demands of oil derivatives and export the rest.
