Eng. Sufian Allaw Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources said that Syria’s Oil Production in the 1st half of the year is 377 Thousand Barrels a day and it will do its best to increase its production to reach its level in the 2nd half of the year compared to the same period in last year.

Allaw added to Syria-oil that Syria’s gas production is developing especially after Gas plant south central Region that will start on 1st Sept that will provide Syrian Gas Net by additional quantities which meet the needs of electricity generating Plants which need 14 million cubic meter of gas a day clarified that Syria’s daily gas production is about 22 million cubic meter and it export 2.5 million cubic meter a day from Egypt.

Allaw said that more than 12 foreign companies are working in oil Exploration and production field in Syria added that his ministry will sonly announce new areas in sea and land and companies can participate in the tenders.
