Azeri Company for Energy and Oil Service SOCAR gave a presentation Symposium about its Geophysical and Geology Department in front of Eng. Sufian Allaw Minister of oil and Mineral resources and his assistant Dr. Hasan Zainab in Umayyad Hotel.

Allaw indicated to the importance of cooperation between the companies of the two countries in Oil and Gas areas saying that Azeri Companies have good experience in Petroleum field .

He added that Azerbaijan agreed to sell one billion cubic meter a year to Syria through Turkey during President Bashar Assad’ s last visit to Azerbaijan .

Mr. Noforos Ahmadov head of Geophysical and Geology Department presented briefing on the company’s activities in Exploration of oil using modern ways and techniques indicated that the company seeks to invest in Syria in Oil and Gas areas in near future.

Mr. Anton Tudors Company’s representative in Syria indicated to the importance of Syrian oil Market and to be present in this market as soon as possible and to give Syria as well as the chance to benefit from the experience of SOCAR in oil field.
