Allaw : Syria will implement linking Arab Gas Pipeline with Turkish and Iraqi networks

Eng. Sufian Allaw Minister of oil and mineral resources said that Syria has its needs of natural gas through local production and it exports limited quantities of gas from Egypt through Arab gas pipeline adding that Syria has promise reserves of gas that will make it gas exporting countries in future.
Allaw said in Nabucco summit that Syria has signed an understanding memo with Iran and Azerbaijan to export quantities of gas through Turkish gas network.
He added that Arab Gas Pipeline project started from Egypt across Jordan , Syria to Lebanon saying that in future it will be extended to Turkey and Iraq.
Allaw said that Syria will implement linking Arab Gas Pipeline with Turkish and Iraqi networks.
He indicated to the continuous cooperation between Syria and EU through the Oriental Arab European gas center based in Damascus .
Allaw said that Syria’s participation in this summit indicating to the developing relations between Syria and Turkey and reflecting Syria’s support to projects that have mutual benefits .
