Iran: new oil field contains one billion barrel

Iran has announced discovering of new oil field in Khozstan
province contains more than one billion barrel of crude oil .

Gulam Husain Nawrazi Iranian oil minister said “the new field contains 1.1 billion barrel of light crude oil,233 million barrel could be extracted from it”.
Iran is the second major producer in OPEC, fourth in the world despite of less international investments.
Tehran said that it started oil production in last February from the largest overland field called Azadigan with estimated reserve about 26 billion barrel.
Last June, increasing of oil production was announced about 130 thousand barrel per a day to reach 4.23 million.
