Husain Arnous Deir al-Zour Governor discussed with Denis Becq joint investments and activities director in Total E&P Syrie the Preparations of understanding memo included Total contribution in building and equipping two medical centers and products and Hospitals in Deir al-Zour and its Rural.

Ghassan Arab Healthcare Director in Deir al_zour mentioned that the first medical center is in Hagein town for chronic and environmental diseases especially Hepatitis starting from next year. The second center in al-Soar town as a comprehensive medical compound that will start on 2011.. The province will present the land of the two centers that will be directed by Total for five years.

He added that 12 million Syrian Pounds of the 29 million SP of contribution money will go to buying medical devices for the comprehensive medical compound in al-Bukmal city and the remained 17 million SP will go to buying different medical devices for hospitals and medical centers in Deir al-Zour.

Suheir Shaheen head of sustainable development in Total E&P Syrie said that the company supports many activities in sustainable development area in education, business and cultural heritage sectors stressed that Total contributions in developing projects in Syria are about 5 million $ since 2004 till now.

It should be noted that Total exploration and production in Syria over the years turn scope of its activities to sustainable development and support projects in the development of human resources and environment, health, education and skills-building and local development and cultural heritage.
