Minister of Finance: global oil prices decline was in the benefit of the Syrian economy

Minister of Finance Mohammad al-Hussein said that the decline in global oil prices was for the benefit of the Syrian economy, pointing out that impact of global financial crisis economy on Syrian banks and economy has been limited.

 


Al-Hussein indicated during a lecture he delivered at the Higher Institute of Business Administration that “the decline in oil prices was for the benefit of the Syrian economic, we are a country import and export petroleum products from crude oil of about 130 thousand barrels a day.”
He has been to provide additional revenues of the budget despite the decline in oil income which supplies bill by 70% and now does not reach 20%.

 
According to official reports, the share of the budget of oil resources of about 110 billion pounds, based on estimates of 51 million barrels of light oil and 42 dollars for the heavy oil with the expectations of the budget deficit in access in the light of current world prices.
