Allaw: During Iran Visit we focus on Gas pipeline from Iran through Iraq to Syria

Eng. Sufian Allaw Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources stressed on the importance of Syrian Iranian Relations in all areas indicating to crucial joint projects the two countries intended to establish in gas and oil areas.

 

Allaw said to Syria –oil after he came back from official visit from Iran that discussions with Iranian side focused on cooperation in networking grid main infrastructure (oil, gas ,railways, electricity.. ) and focusing on establishing Gas pipeline to ship gas from Iran through Iraq to Syria then to Mediterranean ,Cyprus, Greece, to Italy or through gas liquidity plant from Mediterranean to be exported.

Allaw added that this project will not be achieved without cooperation between three countries, Syria-Iraq and Iran.

 

He said also that the second project is relating to oil shipment from Iran through Iraq to Syria through pipeline network inside Iraq from Basra and Kirkuk to Banias in Syria but these pipeline are in need of rehabilitation so the two parts agreed with Iraq to link these pipelines to the Iranian network to import and export the oil through Syrian ports.

 

Allaw indicated to the a project with Iran through the network saying that we will accelerate procedures of implementing gas pipeline between Aleppo and Turkish boarders that will allow to export gas from Iran through the Turkish network.
