Syria Shell for development of oil in collaboration with Interior Ministry and the province of Damascus has set up a tent on the land of formerly Damascus International Fair about / road safety / with a slogan / wrong Cross .. Vague future / on the occasion of the World traffic Day .

During the first day of Road Safety Tent activities, which will last four days, providing a range of activities aimed at spreading awareness among society about the importance of safe driving and how to avoid road accidents in addition to the screening of a series of films dealing with the definition of road safety rules and the distribution of bulletins on how to reduce the accidents and minimize its seriousness.

 
Major General Abdel-Fattah al-Sabbagh Damascus police chief called on the need to maintain a continuing process of raising awareness of the road for its substantial role in reducing traffic accidents, noting to the low rate of accidents in Syria as a result of the cooperation of the drivers with the traffic and abide by the rules of the new Traffic Law. 

 Major General Farooq Mouselli head of the traffic department, referring to efforts by the National Commission for the safety of the permanent aim of spreading awareness among citizens, pointing out the role of some of the oil companies operating in Syria, in particular Syria Shell company to support the road awareness campaigns.

Ghalib Suleiman, deputy director of Syria Shell, said that there is a lot of accidents that occurred as a result of lack of awareness of dangers .. And through awareness campaigns can avoid a lot of unfortunate incidents, adding that Syria Shell will cooperate with the traffic departments in Syria, in organizing campaigns to raise awareness across all the provinces.

The tent Events include during the next three days to provide lectures on road safety with concrete examples of common mistakes and video clips of accidents and the presentation of the causes and how to avoid them.

This campaign comes out of social responsibility and active participation, which is characterized by Shell in its work in all the country in which they operate, with Shell taking the focus of great importance to security and safety both in the workplace or in personal life.
It should be noted that this activity within the program of Syria Shell road safety awareness in the community, which included a “road safety program for children” and “regional campaign for road safety” and “training of bus drivers transport procedure.”
