Emirates News Agency (WAM) said that Abudahbi renewed gas excellence with Royal Dutch Shell ,Total and Partex companies.

Official agency said that the governmental Abudahbi national Petroleum company (Adnoc) signed new contract for 20 years to produce and treat gas supplies from land fields. The previous contract was signed on 1978 for 30 years.

WAM said that the new contract will be executed on 1st October 2009 adding that senior representatives of Adnoc and foreign oil companies signed the contract last Tuesday.

Adnoc has 68 % of Abudahbi gas industry ltd.(Gasco) while Total and Shell have 15 % and the rest of 2% goes to Partex.

Gasco said last year that it would invest 25 billion $ in gas treatment plants and Pipelines to increase gas quantities to meet the growing demand.

Abudahbi has most of oil and gas reserves in EUA.

 
EUA is the fifth large reserve of gas in the world.
