Nouzari :New gas pipeline to Syria , Europe through Iraq …Allaw :good revenues to Syria through this step by transit fees

Iranian oil Minister Gulam Husain Nouzari announced that his country started studies to link Iranian Gas net from south of Iran to Iraq To Syria then to Mediterranean then to Europ (Greece and Italy ).

 

This came during a meeting with his Syrian counterpart Sufian Allaw in Syria .the two parts discussed cooperation prospects in gas an refinery areas.

 

 

Allaw said that this gas pipeline will enable of transferring huge quantities of gas needed to Syria as well as exporting gas through Syrian ports that will result good revenues of transit of Iranian gas through Syria .in addition to the possibility of installing establishments to liquid Gas in future.

 

 

 

Allaw stressed that cooperation areas between the two parts are mainly in gas an refinery . This cooperation started with signing understanding memorandum to bring Iranian gas to Syria. Adding that another agreement on the main principles and ways of coordination to transfer gas to Syria through Turkey.

 

 

Allaw indicated to second cooperation area with Iran which is the refinery industry in addition to Malaysia and Venezuela to install a refinery in al-froqles adding that this visit is a chance to discuss other prospects of cooperation in exploration and distribution of Oil derivatives.

 

 

The meeting was attended by Dr. Husain Zainab assistant of oil minister and Eng. Ali Abbas genral manager of Petroleum public establishment and Eng. Abdou Husameddin General manager of refinery and Oil derivatives and Omer al-Hamad general manager of SPC.
