Iraq calls on oil companies to install a refinery with 2.5 billion $

An Iraqi official said that his country will call on international oil companies to invest more than 2.5 billion dollars in installing a refinery with 150.000 barrel a day power in Missan in Iraq.

 

Ali Wared head of investment body in Missan said that they will ask the international companies skilled in building and operating refinery to establish a big refinery near to Bazerjan oil field.

 

 

Wared added that American Show Stone and Wester company one of Show Group won a contract with 150 million $ last year to put machetes for the refinery and it was expected to end soon.

 

 

Iraq intends to enhance refinery power by 840.000 barrel a day in a plan valued 50 billion $ to reform energy industry.

 

Iraq reached this year refinery phase face its local needs although it still is third big oil reserve in the world.
