British Golf Sands started drilling 9 new oil wells in Syria and declares that the reserves of Yusufiya 27 million barrels of

British Golf Sands Petroleum Company in Syria announced that it planned to start digging 9 oil wells, north-east of Syria.

 

The company, which aims to increase its oil production in the country said that the proven by exploring reserves of oil in the field Yusufiya (Yusufiya well – 1) and Yusufiya – 2) (located north-east Syria, about 27.2 million barrels, according to a statement distributed by the company.

 
The statement added that the Golf Sands intends to start digging 9 oil wells, East Khorepett field in the region 26 where the company expects to continue drilling operations about 45 days.

 
The company noted that the field Khorepett produces approximately 10,500 barrels per day from about 5 oil wells. While the total cumulative production of the company about two million barrels.

 
The Gulf Sands oil production in the British official drilled wells in Syria last September at a rate of 11,150 barrels per day, is expected to rise to 20 thousand barrels with a possibility of drilling more wells in the field explore Khorepett which exploits it.
