Eng. Sufian Allaw Minster of oil and mineral resources said that his ministry is studying now reforming oil sector in dividing it to two public establishment one for exploring, production, transfer, and gas treating while the second one for oil refining and Oil derivatives distribution.

Allaw clarified during meeting with Chinese delegation headed by Chang Cheyung Deputy Chief of legislator office in state council those new forms will facilitate management process in united accounts as well as linked and similar work nature in addition to benefiting of experts inside the establishment indicated that ministry seeks to cooperate with foreign companies by establishing joint ventures for oil services in digging ,measure and well services area ,etc.
In addition to other joint ventures inside and outside Syria.

Melhem Kseiry Manager of Service Contract in Syrian Petroleum Company presented ideas about mechanism contracting with foreign companies and the way of following up contracted and operating companies works in areas of contracts technical and finance and reviewing job demands in accordance to contracts conditions.

Two parts discussed possibilities of enlarging cooperation field in various power areas after the great success of the Chinese nationaloil company SNBC in developing Kobaibah field in al-Hassakeh and increase its production revenues and signing an agreement with it .

The was attented by Hassan Zeinab assistant oil minister and Omer Hamad general manager of SPC and Ahmad Mualla Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kawkab oil company and Feras Qaddour Chairman of the Board of Directors of Deir al-Zour company and nuber of managers in SPC and Kawkab oil company.
