Allaw : we seek to keep on local production level

Eng. Sufian Allaw minister of oil and mineral resources said that his ministry would do its best in future plans to keep its present production of oil and stop production drop.

Allaw added in a symposium in first international petrochemical industry conference that this step would be achieved by increasing layer revenue factor by making developed studies on storing as well as using developed means for dragging oil and the heavy one in particular, using techniques of international companies to rehabilitation some fields in addition to increasing gas production by developing gas in central area and finishing Arab gas pipeline project and linking it to local and regional network and developing Arab and intentional cooperation in Gas Import and Export fields and increasing the refining power to fulfill the increasing demand on Oil derivatives by installing new refineries and developing Homs and Banias refineries and varying gas use especially industry and transportation sectors.

Allaw added that his ministry as well seeks to increase the storing power for Oil derivatives to meet the domestic market
And increasing strategic storing volume and developing infrastructure system for mouths in Banias AND Tartuos and reviving agreements signed with Iraq related to oil and gas pipelines.
