John Verriar is the new director of the Petro-Canada Palmyra in Syria

The head of the foreign companies in the syrian Ministry of Economy said that Petro-Canada Palmyra Ltd. decided to appoint John James Verriar general manager of the branch in Syria.
The company Petro-Canada implemented several projects in Syria concentrated in particular in the field of gas. It also interested in cooperating with the Syrian Gas Company to develop the technical and design studies for a number of gas projects and the signing of contracts for new projects contribute to the production of 2.5 million cubic meters of gas per day.
The company, Petro-Canada has sold its stake in Al Furat Petroleum Company, which includes an alliance Himalayan Indian – Chinese worth 676 million dollars and bought shares of the company’s U.S. “Marathon Oil” to develop oil fields near Homs in central Syria.
