Syria and India signed a memorandum of understanding to explore and produce oil and gas

The Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources Sufian Allaw called on senior investors and Indian companies to invest in gas and energy sectors and take advantage of investment opportunities and political stability enjoyed by Syria.

 

Allaw said in a speech at the Ministerial Meeting of number of countries around the world to participate in the International oil exhibition and conference petrotek technical VIII for gas and oil, to be held in the Indian capital from 11 to 15 of this month to the incentives provided by Syria to foreign investors, apart from the promising prospects of the stock in the oil and gas Syria.

 

 

The signing of the memorandum of understanding between the two countries aim to develop frameworks for a number of issues and the foundations of a comprehensive cooperation in several areas in the oil and gas sector and to participate in the tender and exchange of experts and expertise and training of cadres in the Syrian specialized institutes of India.

 

 

It also provides a memorandum of understanding on the expansion of joint ventures and business sector of exploration and production of oil and gas, and also include research and development in earthquake monitoring systems involved in the Foundation (Vidash the Indian Oil and Gas Ltd.) production operations in 36 oil fields Syrian land.

 

 

Allaw held several meetings with the Indian Oil Minister Murli Deora as well as a number of Indian officials have been talking about the opportunities for strengthening bilateral relations and urged Indian companies to the public and private investment in Syria and the establishment of joint projects and improve the production level of the Syrian phosphate.

 

 

Both countries are keen to expand their mutual cooperation to all fields, especially in projects related to the recovery of oil production rates and improve fields in Syria, and the best use of technical means.

 

 

As well as countries seek to establish joint ventures for the exploration and production of oil in addition to drilling and exploration for oil and all the services involved.
