Eng. Sufian Alao minister of oil and mineral resources visited the novel gas factory in south of central region and Abu –rabah station for gas production in east of Freqles town where the Russian Story Transgas Company is implementing the project with assistance of Syrian Lead Company.

Alao said that Syrian Company of oil extraction and distribution implemented a plan for installing four factories in Syria including gas factory south of central region ,gas north of the same region , Ibla ,and gas Haian .
He expected that production of gas of these factories will reach to 16 million Cubic meters per day in 2010 to be used in operating of electric power production factories and large industrial establishments in addition to 200 ton of gas for home use.
He added that the first step of this project will be in the operating of Abu-rabah station at the end of August, followed by operating the facility that will provide 6 million cubic meter per day.
