Dr.Haddad awarded Peace Prize in biology field to researchers from the Atomic Energy Authority

Researchers Dr. Fadi Al-Najjar, and Eng. Mohamed Johar from the Nuclear Energy Agency won peace prize for young researchers for the originality of their research published in the field of biology.
The award was presented to the winners by Dr. Ibrahim Haddad Adviser of the Prime Minister on Energy affairs and Dr. Ibrahim Othman, Director-General of the Atomic Energy Organization, after the research was evaluated by a specialized committee.
The winning research focused on the clinical applications of Florodioxi Glucose compound in metabolism in cells, according to research results in the detection and discrimination of various cancer cases and search for solutions to problems of the list is based on field research specialist in plant breeding for resistance of disease and find problems of some important economic crops in Syria.
The award is being presented by the family of the late Pakistani scientist Abdul Salam Mohammed Nobel laureate in physics and founder of the International Center for Theoretical Physics and the Third World Academy of Sciences.
Dr. Haddad stressed that Prize in 2008 will be dedicated to the jurisdiction of geology and the opportunity available during the months of November and December for all researchers establishment by the Syrians under the age of 45 years to progress.
