Agreed on the formation of an organization for the gas exporting countries similar to OPEC

Iranian Oil Minister Gholam Hossein Nodhiri and his Qatari counterpart  Abdullah al-Attiyah and general manager of the Russian  gas company Gazprom Alexei Miller agreed on the formation of a joint organization of gas exporting countries similar to (OPEC).

Alaalam News channel quoted Nodhiri as saying during a joint news conference in the Iranian capital Tehran: “There is a consensus on the founding of gas organization.”

 
Attiyah alsothat announced that ” a consultative meeting of the Joint Technical Committee will be held in Doha to meet representatives of the three countries then in Moscow to announce the birth of the Organization official. Miller,in his turn said that the aim of the technical committee is to discuss projects and the transfer of production and refining of gas.
