Saudi Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Ali Ibrahim Al Naimi met here today with visiting Italian Minister of Economic Development Paolo Romani.

The meeting discussed the international oil market situation, importance of stability, and the significance of cooperation between producing and consuming countries, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The meeting also dealt with ways to develop bilateral cooperation in the fields of petroleum, energy, mining, and encouraging investments between the two countries and cooperation in the fields of environment and technology.

The Italian Minister also held talks with the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Mohammed Jamil Bin Ahmed Mulla on the development being witnessed by the sector of telecommunications and information technology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as a number of issues of common interest, according to SPA.
