Syrian Oil Company established dredger tower Ural oil Touch of the company in preparation for the installation and equipping of the dredger to start drilling wells for oil exploration in Lattakia during the next week.

The Director General of Syrian Oil Company Eng. Omar Hamad that the dredger will complete hotbeds of (Latakia 4) in former Souqu al-Hal site to upgrade it for the possibility of locating possible oil region and the emergence of oil drilling can reach depths of 3 thousand meters, indicating that the importance of this stage in determining the availability of carbohydrates in the Studied area.
For his part, Haitham Al-Ghanim, director of branch Syrian Oil Company Lattakia said they are currently busy installing the dredger which is subject to the process of installation technical composed way starting by lifting the tower in addition to other equipment attached to the dredger which will start drilling exploratory well to know the aim of layers in the region and to complete the exploratory studies based on the results of the survey carried out by foreign companies and the Syrian Oil Company indicated that this location is more appropriate for digging to find out the reality of oil.
He added that he can not expect any result now but is expected to appear later and the possibility to reach a depth of drilling to about 3000 meters.
It is noteworthy that the dredger belonging to the Syrian Oil Company has moved from the fields of gypsum and has taken these actions after the handover of the market and upgrade old electric conducting surveys of the area which was mediated by national companies and foreign countries.
