Jordan Studying to Import Natural Gas from Iran or Russia

Jordanian Ministry of Energy said it is studying the Iranian offer as one of the options facing Jordan in the wake of the recurrent cut-off of Egyptian gas supplies

The ministry said in a statement that Iran has offered to supply the country with natural gas.

“We are studying the Iranian offer as one of the options facing Jordan in the wake of the recurrent cut-off of Egyptian gas supplies,” it said in a statement. In addition to the Iranian bid, Jordan is considering another offer from Russia, the statement added.
