Gulf Sands announces its oil production reached 11150 barrels per day … and the oil ministry sources confirm that the company’s production is about of 7000 barrels per day

British Gulf Sands Company had been officially started oil production from wells that dug in 26 blocks north-east Syria, starting from the fifth of this month and the rate of 11150 barrels per day is expected to rise to 20 thousand barrels, with a possibility to dig more wells in the field Khorepett that the company explores and prospecting.

 

Sources of the company said that the Gulf Sands’ production comes from five wells, two horizontal and three Plumb and there is still room for further drilling of wells, pointing out that the company has experimental production rate of 4000 to 5000 barrels per day before it starts formal production rate of 11150 barrels per day, and this figure is well and can be increased.

 
The sources said that the company has investments of 50 million Dollar so far within the agreement signed with the Syrian Oil Ministry. The company looks forward to prospect elsewhere in marine blocks ..

 
But sources told Syria-oil that Ministry of Oil had said that the company’s production did not exceed / 7000 / barrels per day , pointing out that the figures announced by the company were inaccurate and that the company may reach in future production figures higher than current ones with more drilling From the wells.

 
The British newspaper Sunday Telegraph reported that it expected to increase pumping operations from the field to 40 thousand barrels a day within the next 18 months.

 
Mahdi Sajjad chairman of Gulf Sands branch in Syria told the newspaper that “with our partners invested 30 million Sterling pounds to begin initial production process, and we expect to invest 30 to 40 million Sterling pounds of additional completion of the development of the whole field.

 
It is noteworthy that the recent nomination of Mohamed Karim Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dejelah Petroleum, a joint Venture between the Syrian Oil Gulf Sands Company , after the company obtained on a commercial discovery in the sector, which explore it.

 
Gulf Sands company at the beginning of this year signed an agreement with the Cham Holding Company for investments in oil and energy in Syria and Iraq as part of a broad plan includes drilling in large areas inside Syria in addition to digging in Syrian territorial waters, which looks to Gulf Sands also in the plan Work in Syria.
