Iraq to reach 3 mln bpd crude output this year-Shahristani

Iraq expects to see its crude oil production reach 3 million barrels per day this year, Deputy Prime Minister Hussain al-Shahristani said on Saturday.

 

 

Shahristani, who has responsibility for Iraq’s growing energy sector, said current oil output was 2.7 million bpd and exports 2.1 million bpd.

“It is expected that production will reach 3 million bpd before the end of this year,” he told a news conference.
