Eng Sufian Allaw Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources stressed on the need to accelerate the implementation of vital projects and economic enterprises carried out by the ministry in accordance with specific time frames for these projects from a clear positive impact on the economy and the lives of citizens.

Allaw viewed during a working meeting with the staff of the Syrian Gas Company in Homs on the reality of the company’s operations and production during the first quarter of this year compared with the same period last year and the difficulties of work and means to overcome them in order to serve the development and implementation of production plans.

Hussain Wadaa director of the company said that the company has paid great attention to train personnel through training courses, long and short and the establishment of the National Center for training to ensure the continuity of supplementing the company’s technical cadres qualified to cover the need for the company and operating companies to staff the new distinct and reliable in the management and development process productivity.

The Syrian Gas Company completed many projects invasive important notably the Arab gas pipeline, which extends about 600 km within Syrian territory and convey the Egyptian gas to Jordan, Syria and Lebanon in addition to the operation of gas plant south central region with estimated capacity of 7.56 million cubic meters per day gas plant Ebla in the Alfrekls in the province of Homs, a production capacity of 2.5 million cubic meters a day along with a number of investment projects in Syria’s gas wealth and investment projects and the expansion of burnt gas transmission network and gas distribution horizontally and vertically.
