The Board of Directors of Deir Ezzor Petroleum Company held its 70th meeting in Damascus on 27/4/2011, headed by Dr. Eng. Firas Qaddor President of the Board and attended by members of the Board of Directors of both the Syrian and French sides .

The meeting discussed the agenda that focuses on the activities of the company in relation to health and safety and the environment, and technical operations of the company from geological studies and drilling and follow-up projects are being implemented in addition to discussing the company’s business in the area of administrative and financial affairs.

Deir Ezzor Petroleum Company is a joint venture between Total Exploration and Production in Syria and the General Petroleum Corporation and operate the company since 1988, while operating privilege of Deir Ezzor The company is currently producing about 27,000 barrels per day.

The Company has got ISO 14001 certificate for the year 2004 in line with international standards for environmental management systems, the first oil company in Syria gain this certificate.
