It showed also that “the rate of growth of oil exports did not exceed 92% for the same period where Syria exported of $ 366 million in 2005, rose by a large margin for the year 2006 and amounted to about $ 4.6 billion, bringing the then small percentages then were issued Syria worth $ 4.4 billion in 2007, and arrived in 2008 to $ 4.8 billion. ”

The rate of growth of total Syrian exports approximately 17%, up from (9.2) billion to (14.7) billion dollars during the last five years many of the materials included manufactured goods, chemicals, animals and vegetables, alcohol and tobacco, the most notable instruments that have achieved a growth rate of 117%.

The director of the Authority for the development and export promotion Hossam Yousef said last year that the foreign trade volume reached in 2009 was $ (1570) billion Syrian pounds.
