Shell contracts in al-Furat oil Company fields to be extended to / 10 / more Years

An agreement between the Syrian Petroleum Company and Shell Syria for oil development company and its partners will be signed tomorrow to extend Shell contracts in al-Furat oil Company fields to     / 10 / more years.

The Cabinet agreed at its meeting on Tuesday 5/8/2008 the proposal of the Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources and Economic Commission proposal to extend the contracts between the Syrian Oil Company and some companies service contracts and amend the terms of the contract so that the national interest and increase the share of the Syrian productivity proceeds.
